PUNTA MITA TO HOST INAUGURAL GASTRONOMIC EXTRAVAGANZA AND GOLF KITCHEN CUP
In collaboration with Golf Kitchen Magazine, residents and guests of Punta Mita are invited to the ultimate dining experience, golf tournament, and silent auction to benefit local Punta Mita Charities PEACE & Fundación Punta de Mita.
PUNTA MITA, Mexico (March 2, 2018) – Masterplan Punta Mita developer DINE, along with Golf Kitchen Magazine announced ticket sales for the Inaugural Golf Kitchen Punta Mita Gastronomic Extravaganza and Golf Kitchen Cup. Hosted from April 26-29, 2018, this first-of-its-kind event will feature a collection of specialty guest executive chefs from some of the most prestigious international golf clubs and resorts as well as a two-day golf tournament on the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Courses Bahia and Pacifico, recently ranked among Golf Digest’s “Top 100 World’s Greatest Courses.”

Punta Mita’s Executive Chef Pato Persico is the event’s lead chef and host. He will be joined by executive and sous chef teams from the well-accredited Sebonack Golf Club, Winged Foot Golf Club, Cassique at Kiawah Island Club, Sankaty Head Golf Club, Emirates Golf Club, Club de Bosques Chapultepec and more. Guests will have the opportunity to taste each club’s best cuisine in a variety of exclusive culinary lunches and dinners on the greens and throughout the property. Additionally, a luxury poolside gala will close the event and will include a silent auction sponsored by Grand Stand Sports to benefit Fundación Punta de Mita & PEACE.

On Thursday, April 26, guests are invited gather at the Punta Mita Golf Club to take part in opening night festivities such as live cooking stations with all participating chefs, live entertainment, exciting golf challenges and more. The Golf Kitchen Cup will commence the following day and include a lunch at the beautiful ocean-front Kupuri Beach Club prepared by Chef Chrissie Bennet of Winged Foot Golf Club, featuring a “catch of the day fish to fork” menu showcasing unique pairings of flavors and dishes for which the club is known.
To close the second day, guests will have the opportunity to delight their palates with an array of dinner options including Chef Gaston Yelichich’s traditional Uruguayan style grill in the lush Residents Beach Club Garden, located just off the private beach-front, the “Carolina Restaurant” at The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort with an exquisite menu crafted by Chef Doug Blair of Cassique at Kiawah Island Club, South Carolina, and Chef Jesús Duron, the Golf Club Restaurant will open its doors for dinner prepared by Chef Damian Gilchrist of Sankaty Head Golf Club. To conclude the celebratory weekend, the final day will include a prize-giving luncheon featuring a delicious grilled menu in the Punta Mita Club House Garden by Chef Lalo Palazuelos and Punta Mita’s Executive Chef Pato Pérsico. Tournament winners will be awarded on the driving range, complete with fine wines and cuisine. In the evening, a closing dinner celebration will be held at the Kupuri Beach Club showcasing a culinary journey with live culinary stations offering a variety of dishes from each featured Chefs home country or region.
